It would be really great if that feature were added
Would love this feature, as i have a 2.35 screen. My old JVC had this feature, which is very useful.
Thank you all for the discussions and feedback, we have noted this requirement, we will carefully consider and evaluate this feature.
Blanking is a MUST, Ive been using it for years on every JVC Ive ever had and thats many many years. I would not buy a projector without this feature.
Would love to see that feature - for me as a 16:9 screen owner it would be superb having a masking system built into the beamer that blanks out the bottom an top section of the screen to mask to 2:1 2,35:1…
Yes definitely need this, I have a 2.39 screen and would help big time
@Bob Sorel on AVSForum summed this feature request up really well on AVSForum. His words below: In a properly designed lens memory system, the memory slots need to have several parameters that it "remembers": 1. Vertical lens position 2. Horizontal lens positiom 3. Zoom position 4. Focus 5. And, for it to be complete especially for constant image height users, it also requires 4 way blanking/masking in order to crop the content AR so that no content appears outside of the 4 edges of the user defined screen aspect ratio, like could happen with IMAX titles which change AR on the fly, as well as subtitles that might appear in the horizontal black bars
Oh... I didn't think about this one. I use this for movies with changing aspect ratios as mentioned above. I hate to say it.. but it's another must have! I'm so greedy!
This, coupled with the following would be amazing for CIH! https://xgimi.userjot.com/board/p/scope-screen-support-with-…
JVC has that; it's very helpful
Yes, very important for CIH users...we need to be able to crop picture area in order to exclude material that will appear outside of the frame. This feature should be saved with user lens memory presets.
Pixel shifting is also useful for lowering the black area or lifting it and having just one black bar for the content if it’s a scope film.
This would be a very helpful feature. I second this.
It may be useful to group the blanking feature with lens memories; i.e., when saving and recalling lens positions, include the current masking settings along with the lens zoom/shift/focus.
That’s definitely the right call.
This would be a great help to me also!
