Dithering Artifacts and RBE reduction

According to The Hook Up's first reviews. RBE reduction seems to be introducing dithering artifacts, which should be fixed. Also RBE reduction doesn't seem to be as well as on VMac or Atherion, hope it will succeed them as I'm sensitive.

Dithering is still a large problem when anti-RBE is turned on in shadowy scenes with v1.2.54. To me this is the single largest issue at the moment because either the projector is unpleasant to watch because of RBE, or because of dithering when anti-RBE is turned on.

I would like to lend my support to the above views. My understanding is that the duty cycles with the new controller and imager can theoretically exceed x20 which would virtually eliminate RBE. I deeply hope XGIMI will work to eventually achieve those mega fast duty cycles.

Thank you for your feedback. We are currently collaborating with key suppliers to actively optimize the noise issue. Meanwhile, based on the feedback received and considering that users have different levels of sensitivity to RBE and noise, we will introduce a selectable setting with Off, Low, and High levels in a future update.

Can you confirm that the beta firmware will be made available to testers before the Kickstarter ends?

Please speed up the color cycling on anti-rbe even if it introduces extra AUDIBLE noise from the higher frequency. You could simply have Anti-RBE= Off/Low/High. This would be a killer feature. Please tell me you're not constrained by the new DLP controller, as RBE is literally the achilles heel of DLP projectors. It is turning customers away.

The current anti-rbe 100% adds dithering. It's going to be such a great feature when this is eliminated.

I love the RBE "on" setting. I have never been able to use DLP because of the rainbows I see every few seconds. Here it is good and Im happy with it, but I do see some noise in the image especially on dark scenes. I have every AI, contrast enhancer, sharpness etc etc turned off as I think this is the best way to test. The only thing I have turned on is the 5.5 iris setting. We need an improvement to eliminate the artifacts.

As newer info suggests dithering doesn't come from anti RBE, but it causes noise, which is visible in viewing distance. I hope they will eliminate that better, as comparing pictures show quite a drastic effect. Other than that RBE seems to be working well now

I find at times there is so much image noise going on from time to time with very dark and light scenes on the screen at the same time I have to turn off RBE reduction, then I have to contend with horrible rainbows everywhere. RBE reduction is fantastic, but please plese lets remove the image noise!
