100% on this, with the zoom I simply can't get perfect alignment on my screen as it is. I either have tiny black bars all round the edge or overspill onto the borders. Same applies to lens shift.
Very, very important. Please realize that the projector will not be satisfactory without this enhancement in rooms where placement is dictated by mount location and can not be changed. Please prioritize this.
Agree completely. This projector needs fine adjustments for fixed installations. Xgimi is bundling a ceiling mount so one should expect to be able to use their entire screen with optical adjustments. If no it indicates significant stepper motor deficiencies made to shave costs. I'm hoping this is just firmware related and fine adjustments will be enabled at ship.
Agreed, fine control is essential. And with 5 lens memory positions to choose from, you can bet some users will even want position granularity to be able to accommodate both 2.35:1 and 2.39:1, which could translate into just a few clicks of fine adjustment.
This is a must for me to keep my pledge. What is a true home theater projector without micro, fine zoom and shift adjustment like those found in my current JVC and Epson projectors. Blanking with also be a welcome addition.
Love to see all these adjustments with a fine & course settings one could select, that would be amazing!
Please ensure that a finer adjustment is fitted.
On a fixed ceiling mount location for pre-existing home cinemas, there is no way to "move the projector" as suggested in the AMA. This absolutely needs to be looked at. Thank you.
This 100% needs a fix. No way around it.
Agree, please add much finer zoon control. Perhaps even a 'Fine Adjustment' mode for focus also. I find the focus manually actually difficult. It seems like perhaps the focus gear motors take time to tension when they change directions. I find the Auto focus to be pretty unreliable. Manual focus once going past the point of perfect focus does not simply click back it seems to take several clicks before it will retreat to the previous perfect focus point, but that adds more uncertainty. I actually wonder if the focus could have slightly more obvious steps to it, as well as a fine mode for much finer control. The Zoom and shift also needs finer control, its too heavy handed.
Yes the jumps are far too strong, we need a finer adjustment most certainly here.
I strongly agree. In my testing on a 145” screen at about the middle of the throw range, I found that each click of the remote translates to the image shifting 20-30mm on the screen, and each click of the zoom correlates with the boundaries of the image moving about 40-50mm. This is great for course adjustment, but it would be very nice to have a fine adjustment mode for millimeter precision adjustments.
Please add this because we need to presently physically move forward to back the projector to have image perfectly fit screen.
