We all like to verify information on the file / film we are playing. It can also be used to verify that the projector is receiving the correct information and that we haven't done anything incorrectly prior to sending the signal to the projector.
Please also have it automatically come up when we open or close the menu just in general. So if I push menu the little Resolution / Hz / Colour space and bit depth / Audio info should be shown.
Also we need a way to turn off info like we have on JVC and all other HT projs out there. Each time I change from a 23.97fps, 24fps, 25fps, etc etc the HDMI logo pops up in the middle of the screen as the proj is syncing to the new frame rate and then top left hand corner pops up with frame rate and other stuff. This looks terrible and Ive hunted to find a way to turn off the proj stats OFF and cant find a thing. This certainly doesnt present a very professional look to the audience.
I think a way to disable this would be good, however I actually find myself wanting to see this info, I can think of another brand which very unreliably will tell you the hz during frame rate changes, sometimes my gear might not change to true 24p and its good to know if it did work or not. So I am thankful that it does let us know, a way to turn it off will be good too.
If it's too late to change the remote layout, please at least make the INFO available on the menu.
Just pressing the "OK" button during playback could do this. This button doesn't do anything now during playback ....
The problem with that is it controls HDMI devices, so that just ends up pausing my movie via Alexa FireTV...
Thanks for the feedback. Could you tell us why you want this feature? Is it mainly for getting movie info, or for something else?
