Hard to believe TNM does not have IR capability in this class of projector, would really like this capability. Usb IR support would be at a minimum if not possible to include it now.
It's a must!
3rd party IR remote support is CRITICAL. I’m amazed that this would be overlooked. Please find a solution!
Really hope this is added, the need to find and use the remote every time seems a backward step. Makes anyone but me using it much more difficult as they are familiar with pressing one button on my Harmony.
IR dongle support would remove a major impediment to integrating the XGIMI Titan Noir Max into a home theater system. We need to control MANY devices in a full fledged home theater. Despite the complexity of multiple devices, a professional level installation unifies and simplifies control. That necessitates a universal control programmed to coordinate the myriad of source devices, processors, amplifiers, and displays. XGIMI's failure to support universal remotes by IR, bluetooth pairing, and IP control undermines XGIMI's stance as projector supplier in serious home theater installs. Third party remote control via infrared dongle receiver would readily make XGIMI easier to integrate into any decently advanced home theater. Universal remotes make complex coordinate simple. That makes home theater SYSTEMS easy to use for all family members and visitors. Requiring a separate remote for the projector naively seems reasonable, but it actually is unforgivable in a polished home theater setup. A separate projector remote increases usage complexity and exposes the projector to inadvertent setting changes by adults and children. Chaos is inevitable with a separate projector remote. Third party universal remote support is expected for any high value projector in the home theater space. XGIMI shoots itself in the foot by lacking such support.
We need a solution for third party remote support.
Out of the 9 devices in my media center and many more that have passed through, this will be the only one with no IR... Bonus would be ability to turn off the blutooth, but I suppose that may be needed for power on.
This should be considered basic functionality in this day and age.
