Zoom Changes Brightness / Colours

There are some brightness/colour modifications being made at different zoom levels, is this intentional? It is most noticeable beyond the 2.0x zoom level (2.1 - 2.2x roughly) but happens at other points in the zoom range as well.https://youtu.be/fVzZM9ioeyE?t=64
